Front Door Church Websites

A welcoming website. One less thing for your church to manage.

Help visitors find Sunday services, get to know your congregation, and take their next step. I help you gather the content, build the site, and get it ready to launch. Serving churches in New York City.

Work

A church site I built.

Miracle World Outreach Ministries · Jamaica, Queens

A Queens congregation’s website with service times front and center, a sermon archive, an events list, and a clear link to giving.

  • Service times findable in one glance
  • Sermons and events together in one place
  • Layouts designed for phones and larger screens
  • Clear location and directions

The situation

Most churches are in one of three spots.

None of them are the church’s fault. All three are fixable.

  • No website at all

A visitor’s first question is “when do you meet, and where?” Without a site, they ask Google, find nothing, and go somewhere they can find.

  • A site that quietly died

Service times from three years ago. An events page frozen last Easter. A dead site can read as a closed church, worse than no site at all.

  • A template no one can edit

You paid for something nice, but changing a single line means emailing a developer and waiting a week. So it never changes.

From conversation to launch

A clear next step, all the way through.

  1. A conversation first

We talk about your visitors, your current website, and what your office needs. You receive a written scope and price before committing.

  2. Gather the essentials

You supply approved church information and images. I provide a checklist, organize the material, and help shape it into clear web copy.

  3. Review your website

You review a preview on your phone and computer. One church contact gathers feedback for the agreed revision rounds.

  4. Launch with a handover

You approve the finished site. We check visitor information and links, connect your domain, and walk through editing and ownership.

Before you decide

Know what’s included.

What do we need to provide?

Service times, contact details, ministry information, approved photos and logo, and links to your giving or streaming services. I organize and lightly edit your supplied text. Photography, extensive copywriting, translation, and large content migrations are quoted separately. You approve beliefs and all public information.

When does work start, and how do payments work?

Foundation and Congregation use a 50% deposit after a signed proposal and 50% after approval, before launch. We reserve a start date once the deposit, required content, and account access are ready. Estimates exclude time waiting for content or feedback. Custom milestones and dates are written into the proposal.

What counts as a revision?

Foundation and Congregation include two rounds of consolidated feedback within the agreed scope. A round is one collected list from your church’s decision-maker. New pages, a new design direction, or extra features need an agreed quote before work begins. Fixing a delivery defect does not use a revision round.

How do training and support work?

Congregation and Custom include one 60-minute remote editor training session and a written handover guide. Foundation includes a 30-minute handover. Report delivery defects within 30 days of launch and I will correct them at no extra charge. Ongoing content work and maintenance are covered by an optional care plan or a separate quote.

Who owns the website, and what renews?

Your church controls its domain and receives its content and custom site files after final payment, with access needed to move the site. Reusable tools and third-party assets retain their existing licenses. First-year website hosting is included; domain, email, paid media, giving, and other third-party charges are separate. After year one, choose the care plan or manage hosting in your own account and pay any provider charges directly. We document that choice before launch.

What does the $75/month care plan cover?

Hosting, a monthly maintenance review, weekly backups of website files and uploaded media retained for eight weeks, and a quarterly recovery check. Content edits allow up to 30 minutes each month, with unused time expiring. I reply within two business days, Monday–Friday excluding US federal holidays; completion timing is agreed after reviewing the request. This is not 24-hour emergency coverage. New features, redesigns, third-party outages, and restoring systems outside the website are separately scoped. A website recovery from an available backup is included. Email, donations, and other third-party records are not in the website backup.

Can we cancel care?

Yes. Email before the next monthly renewal to stop future billing. There is no extra hosting charge during the included first year, and care is optional during that year. If care ends, I provide the latest website backup and confirm your hosting access. After the included year you take over hosting and its provider charges. Your site files remain yours; ongoing monitoring, edits, and backups end with care.

Your written proposal confirms the scope, dates, and responsibilities for your church.

About

Who’s behind this.

I’m a working music director, so I’ve spent years inside churches. I know how a Sunday comes together and how little time the office has for a fussy website.

I’m also an engineer by training. I build with clear navigation, accessible layouts, and site files you can take with you. You work with me from the first conversation through launch.

Front Door Church Websites is the two halves of that put together: church websites that welcome people at the door and stay easy to keep alive.
